Challenge: Installing a semi-permanent EuroMat car park ahead of pre-season team return
The Challenge
The client had no dedicated space to accommodate additional car parking, but urgently needed extra capacity to support the return of its playing squads for pre-season. This included the club’s women’s team, who had recently turned professional and were now based on site more frequently during normal working hours – increasing daily demand on the car park well beyond what existing provision could support.
The work needed to be planned and delivered within a tight window to be ready in time for the squads’ return, without disrupting day-to-day operations at a live, in-use training facility.
Our Solution
The Box Group deployed a comprehensive temporary road system combining two specialised products:
- Ground Protection: 350 EuroMat HDPE panels were supplied and installed to create a new, semi-permanent car park, extending capacity on an area of the site that previously offered none.
- Full Install & Project Management: The Box Group managed the project end-to-end from initial planning and delivery through to installation – with a 9-strong crew completing the works in a single morning.
- Clear Communication: Early and thorough communication with the client’s facilities team ensured the necessary arrangements were in place well ahead of installation, keeping the project on schedule.
Outcome
- A new semi-permanent car park was delivered in time for preseason, giving the club reliable additional parking capacity for the foreseeable future.
- Installation was completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to the working training ground.
- The site was left clean and tidy on completion, with the crew working professionally throughout.
- The additional capacity now supports the daily return of both the men’s and newly professional women’s squads to the site.
